Obituary

Salisbury – William H. "Bill" Green, 72 of here, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.

Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Herbert and Pauline (Anderson) Green.

He was a 1962 graduate of Eastern High School in Washington, DC.  He was employed with the National Security Agency (NSA), retiring after 20 years of service.

He later attended the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy and was employed by the Wicomico County Department of Corrections as a correctional officer in the Work Release Program.  Upon his retirement, he became an Independent Business Owner in the Amway Corp.

He was a member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church where he was past president of the Senior Usher Board.  He also served as past vice-president of the Chipman Foundation, Inc. Board and was an active supporter of the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC).

His survivors include his wife of 37 years, Bessie Green; three children: Gwendolyn (Jason) Parker of Virginia, Paula Green of Georgia and Tyrone McKeiver of Japan; nine grandchildren, one niece and extended family.  His remains will be inurned at Parsons Cemetery at a later date.

A brother Ronald Green preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Wesley Temple U.M. Church where friends may view one hour prior to service.
