Willie Jean Bennett Jr., born August 30, 1940, in Augusta, Georgia, was the son of Elizabeth Pollard-Williams and the late Willie Jean Bennett, Sr. He entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 4, 2023, at his residence, which he once shared with his late wife, Enid Bennett, in Salisbury, Maryland.

Willie lived a quiet, humble and peaceful life. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. Willie will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Elizabeth Pollard-Williams, daughters, Lashone Bennett-Williams and Nyoka Williams, grandchildren, Jhanique Williams, Dayvon Odom and Jordan Williams, great granddaughters, Courtney Williams and Camille Eliely, brothers, Ronald Bennett, John 'Jesse' Bennett, Gaston Davis, and Craig Byrd, sister, Jeanette Kelly-Bennett.

Willie is predeceased by his father, Willie Jean Bennett Sr., and sister, Diane Bennett.
