Willie Hubert (Hub) Hargis, 77 died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton.
Born in Parksley, VA, he was the son of the late Charlie and Esther (Wise) Hargis.
He retired from the maintenance department of Roadway Inn in Ocean City. He was also formerly employed as a truck driver for various companies, including Rance Trucking in Parksley, VA.
He was a member of Greater Higher Hope Temple and later transferred his membership to Mt. Calvary Apostolic Church both in Salisbury.
His survivors include his wife: Gladys Foreman Hargis of Salisbury; five children: Gwendolyn (David) Northan, Santoria (Esther) Payton, Diametric (Yvonne), Anthony (Gardenia) and Broderick Hargis; seven step-children: Dr. LaVerne (Floyd) Boone, Priscilla (Cophen) Brown, Selina (Patrick) Bond, Jujuan, Sereta, Oneida and Avery Foreman; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia (Norris) Riley and Carrie (Harry) Drummond; four sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Greater Higher Hope Temple in Salisbury where friends may view one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Williams AME Church Cemetery in Newark, MD.
