Benjamin Alonzo Niskey, 81 of Mardela Springs, MD peacefully transitioned from labor to rest on Tuesday March 8, 2022. He was born in Salisbury Maryland November 19, 1940, to the late Roy Carroll Niskey, Sr and the late Mattie Marie Goslee.
Ben, as he was affectionately called, attended public schools in Wicomico County where he graduated from the former Salisbury High School in 1958. He Retired from the State of Maryland after working many years at Deers Head Center. Ben was a very funny and lively person that always kept you laughing. He loved and enjoyed life. He loved to have a good time with family and friends, and he lived his life to the fullest. Ben also loved being around people and was a warm, kind-hearted person. For many years he was apart of a pool league, and he won many trophies. You could always find him at the VFW or his mornings visit with the fellows at McDonalds for breakfast. He always had a good time. Every time you would see Ben, he was sharp and dressed to the nines. He stayed clean and stylish. That was Ben.
Ben leaves to cherish his memory to his 3 sons: Benjamin Farrare Jr, Dr.Troy and Timothy Niskey; a brother, Roy Niskey (Theresa) of Salisbury; his grandchildren: Preston and Monica Lankford, and Gregory Conway Jr.; great-grandchildren: Makayla Bounds, Janaya and Preston Lankford III, Mariah Morris, Cali Rae Conway, Hanna Spencer, a former spouse, Gloria Niskey, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ben will be welcomed into heaven by his brothers: Henry and Richard Niskey; 2 daughters: Cheryl Farrare and Sherita Conway; a grandson, Duante Lankford, a son-in-Law, Gregory Conway Sr. and a former spouse, Iva Lee Farrare.
