Billy James Foreman

Berlin-Billy James Foreman (Dollar Bill), 65, died Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at his Berlin home.

Born in Salisbury, he is the son of John Vincent. and Virginia (Redden) Foreman. His late wife, Sheron Victoria (Briddell) Foreman, died July 7, 2019.

He was a 1972 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, where he excelled at soccer. Upon graduation, he matriculated at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, MD, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Education.

He taught Industrial Arts at Snow Hill High School. And later became employed with Ocean City Convention Center, retiring around 2014. Billy also did substitute teaching in Worcester County.

Besides his parents, he is survived by three children: Reginal Briddell and Shairon Foreman, both of Berlin, MD, and Jermaine Gardner of Charleston, SC,: two grandchildren: Bridget Briddell and Reginald, Jr.; three great-grandchildren:  Kamari, Ja’nyla and Reginald, III; four siblings: Gloria (Jim) Huss of Florida, Betty (Harry) Gibbs of Delaware, John (Sonya) Foreman of Baltimore, MD, and Sandra Foreman of Berlin; eight brothers and sister-in-law: William (Sheraldine) Briddell,  Naomi Purnell, Ervin (Alice) Briddell, Ray and Randy Briddell, all of Berlin, MD, Hazel (Limenes) Jean of Selbyville, DE, Brazelle  Briddell of Delmar, DE and David Briddell of Millsboro, DE; two  in-laws; Marshal Cropper and Tom Curry, both of Washington, DC; a host of nieces and nephews.

One brother: Danny Foreman preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, November 1, 2019, at Williams A.M.E. Church in Newark, MD, where friends may view from two hours prior to service.

Interment will be in the Calvary U.M. Church Cemetery-Berlin, MD.
