DANNI'S LIFE STORY
Danielle Sherece King, (Danni), departed this life on July 10, 2021, at the Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina after a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of her passing Danni was surrounded by friends and her sister, Tiffani King who traveled to North Carolina to be by her side.
Born in Salisbury, Maryland on April 28, 1984, Danni was the daughter to Alana King and Alonzo King, Sr. and received her formal education in Wicomico County and Queen Anne's County public school system in Maryland.
As an adult Danni moved to Millsboro, Delaware where she began a career in telemarketing. Always up for a challenge, in January of 2018, Danni moved from her home in Millsboro, Delaware to Charlotte, North Carolina to accept a job as an Insurance Advisor for Quantum 3 Media. This was a job which required the ability to connect with people for which Danni had a passion and she excelled in her work.
The simple pleasures in life brought joy to Danni and she had the ability to find fun in her daily activities. Her smile was as bright as her hair and her laugh was as loud as her mouth. She loved spending time with friends and visiting with family. Even though she moved 8 hours from her home in Maryland, Danni never hesitated to get on the road and drive hours to spend time with the people she loved, including her nieces and nephews whom she adored and spoiled.
Danni was a true “fashionista” and could mix and match her outfits, hair, and makeup to suit the occasion. Many turned to Danni’s facebook page to see her showcase her latest fashion creations. Danni is survived by a dedicated younger sister, Tiffani King, (children, Alana and Ivory), older brother, Alonzo King, Jr., (children, Tyquan and Paris), her father, Alonzo King, Sr., grandmothers Janet Ames and Deena King, and Janiyia Sturgis, whom she considered as her daughter, a bestfriend Rashana Bratten of 30 years, and Latosha Cannon of 20 years; and host of other extended family and friends.
In addition, Danni was preceded in death by her mother, Alana King and grandparents Barbara and Lawrence Copland, Douglas King, and Reginald Ames.
All who knew her will always remember Danni’s boundless energy, courage, and love of life. And we will miss her presence in our lives.
“In the end, it’s not the years of life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
Psalms 23 (KJV)
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
