Eleanor Price

Eleanor Augustine Price, 96, peacefully transitioned this earthly life on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Wicomico Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Salisbury, Maryland. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Eleanor was born on November 26, 1926, in Tyaskin, Maryland to Golden Dashiell and Katie Waters Dashiell. She graduated high school in Salisbury, Maryland.

Eleanor and William McKenzie Price Sr. were united in holy matrimony and raised a family together. She was a loyal member of St. James AME Zion Church. Eleanor’s two passions were God and her family.

Eleanor was an easy-going, warm, and kindhearted woman, who readily helped anyone in need. She enjoyed being a devoted and loving wife and homemaker for her family. Cooking and baking were things Eleanor got enjoyment from. It pleased her that her food was a favorite of many.

Eleanor leaves to cherish loving memories, her children, William McKenzie (Cynthia L) Price Jr., of Salisbury, Maryland, Cheryl Brown of Delmar, Maryland, Gail Price of Salisbury, Maryland, and Carlene Blake of Norfolk, Virginia, sister, Irene Jordan of Euclid, Ohio, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Eleanor is predeceased by her parents, Golden Dashiell and Katie Waters Dashiell, husband, William McKenzie Price Sr. son, Steven A. Price, sisters, Marie Teagle, Grace Stanford, Sarah Lewis, Shirley Harrell, brothers, Calvin Dashiell, and Rayfield Dashiell.

Eleanor leaves a legacy of love and longevity. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
