Elizabeth Link Obituary

Elizabeth Jones Link was born on February 8, 1941 in Palatka, Florida to the late Minnie Lee Jones and ML Jones. She departed this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief illness, at Beebe HealthCare Hospital in Lewis, Delaware.

Elizabeth received her education in Putnam County Public Schools.  She relocated to Berlin Maryland, at an early age and married Thomas Link.

She  worked at Hudson Foods for many years where she served as Union Steward.  She later became a USDA Inspector until her retirement.

She was a member of Duncan-Showell Ladies Auxiliary Unit #231 where she participated in the Marching Unit held in Ocean City, Maryland, winning many trophies. She also attended the National Convention in Seattle, Washington.

Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul UM Church, where she served as a Greeter, and she also enjoyed attending the Happy Club (Senior Club).  Prior to COVID 19, she enjoyed being outside watching the kids play on 103 Link Lane.  Beth was a humbled and gentle person always greeting you with a smile.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, three children: Thomas Link and Ida Link, both of Jacksonville, Florida, and Eddie Link of Long Island, New York; fifteen grandchildren (three devoted ones, Tracey Wimbush, Troy Link and Kenyon Link); twenty-three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren;  two sisters: Louise Bryant and Catherine Gibbs; six stepchildren; Bernard, Tyrone. Athenia, Samantha, Rashen, and Justin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two great grandchildren.

Psalms 23 (KJV)

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
