A LOVELY JOURNEY...
Julia Ann (Graham) Johnson, affectionately known as Mom Julie, peacefully departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at her home in Salisbury, Maryland, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 12, 1925, in Fruitland, Maryland to the late Ed Corbin and Jeanette Graham Cannon.
Julia was educated in the Wicomico County public school system. She was employed as a domestic employee and worked several years as a nanny and housekeeper. Her last employment was for many years as a Maintenance Senior Aide worker with Maintaining Active Citizens -Area Agency on Aging (Mac Incorporated) in Salisbury, Maryland, until she retired in 2019. Julia was a hardworking woman with outstanding work ethics.
Julia was a loving and supportive person, who freely helped anyone in need. She valued her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Her strong faith in God sustained her throughout the years.
She leaves to treasure precious memories, her six children: Edna (Nate) Parson of Baltimore, Maryland, Joanne Johnson of Eden, Maryland, Priscilla (James) Holbrook, Virginia (Thomas) Parker, Moses (Ashley) Johnson, and Joseph Johnson Jr., all of Salisbury, Maryland; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, twenty great-great grandchildren; two siblings: Gladys Cannon of Fruitland, Maryland, Virginia (James) Truitt of Salisbury, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended relatives, and friends.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents: Ed Corbin & Jeanette Graham; two brothers: James Cannon & Robert Cannon; two sisters: Thelma Townsend & Grace Brown.
