Kelvin Darnell (Kevin) Harmon

Kelvin (Kevin) Darnell Harmon, 59 died Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home in Salisbury, MD.

Born here, he was the son of the late Elsie Harmon and William Johnson, Jr.

He was a 1977 graduate of Snow Hill High School.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country, receiving a medical discharge.

Kevin was formerly employed with Powerhouse Gym as a Security Guard, Lifetime Masonry and the former Wheaton Pharmaceuticals, and recently retired from Wicomico County Solid Waste Division all of Salisbury.

He is survived by five children: Kevin Harmon of Newark, DE, Shari Shockley Elsey of Snow Hill, Darnell, Antonio and Marcus Harmon, all of Salisbury, MD, eleven grandchildren; a devoted companion Tiffany Wilson and her children: Branden White, Cameron Morgan, Laniya Wilson and Tyra Roper; three siblings: Edward “Rock” (Terry) Johnson of Stockton, MD, Annette Harmon of Snow Hill, MD and William “Billy” (Sandra) Harmon of Clifton Heights, PA; god sisters: Jennifer Ames, Jeanne Blake, Yvette Purnell and Yvonne Truitt; godmother: Elsie Harmon; two aunts: Carolyn Conner and Barbara Holland; two uncles: Raymond “Pete” Johnson and Oliver Conner;  a sister-in-law: Christine Marshall of Delmar, MD, several nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Kayla Harmon-Tate and two siblings: Frank Marshall and Beulah Stewart preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Snow Hill Middle School, 522 Coulbourne Lane, Snow Hill, MD where friends may view two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in Mt. Wesley (New) Cemetery, Scotland Road, Snow Hill, MD.
