Larry James Purnell

Larry James Purnell, 64, died Friday, November 22, 2019, at his home in Snow Hill, Maryland. He was the son of the late James and Mildred Purnell.

He worked various jobs over the years as a general laborer.

He was affiliated with Williams AME Newark Maryland.

Larry is survived by siblings: Leon Purnell of Wilmington, Aaron Purnell of Allentown PA, Joseph Purnell of St. Georges DE, Vanessa (Michael) Clemmons of Sharon Hill, PA and Patrick of Landsdowne PA; maternal aunts: Clara Collick, Viola Hunter, and Yvonne Adams; paternal aunts and uncles: Mildred Melbourne of Snow Hill, MD, Barley (Debra) Smyrna, DE, Robert Purnell of Morristown, DE and Beulah Maggadine of Norristown, PA; a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded by two siblings: Charles Purnell and Marvin Purnell.

A funeral service is at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Jolley Memorial Chapel, P.A., 1213 Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning, December 9, 2019, at Golden Acres Cemetery in Bishopville, MD.
