Mardell's Journey
Mardell Larry Adkins, Sr., 36 of Grasonville, MD departed this life, Friday, December 3, 2021, at his mother’s residence. He was born July 7, 1983, to Clinton Adkins and Tina Nicholson.
Mardell, better known as “Stale Bread” attended school in Queen Annes County. He worked various jobs as a handyman. Mardell was loved by many developed a bond with almost everyone he came in contact with. He always kept a smile on his face. He enjoyed laughing, backflips and dancing. You would often catch him watching his favorite football team, “The Dallas Cowboys.” Mardell was an enjoyable person to be around. His children held a special place in his heart. Mardell loved his father and would do anything to lend his father a helping hand. He also loved hanging with his brother, Martaevous, and his one special cousin, Artez, who was always a comfort to Mardell. These two had a bond that some may not understand. When you saw one, you would see the other. Mardell always had the biggest smile. He loved eating and wouldn’t turn away any food. He ate his plate and anybody else’s plate. Mardell wasn’t afraid of anything.
Mardell was preceded in death by Hazel Ross and Asbury Nicholson.
Mardell leaves to cherish his memory with his mother, Tina Marie Nicholson of Cambridge; his father, Clinton Melvin Adkins of Grasonville; 2 handsome sons: Mardell Adkins, Jr of Exmore, Virginia and Zhialee Dondre Winston of Cambridge; one amazing daughter, Maddie Adkins of Centreville; his maternal grandmother, Ella Nicholson of Cambridge; 3 brothers: Dontae Dennis, Mataveous Adkins both of Grasonville, and Elsworth Spence of Cambridge; 8 aunts and uncles: Joyce Adkins of Grasonville, Larry Adkins (Shirley) of Easton, Sharon Keene (James) and Christine Adkins of Grasonville, Betty Turner of Baltimore, Maurice and Ralph Nicholson; one special uncle, James Fisher; an amazing cousin, Artez Keene; a special close friend, Victory Clough, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
