Rudolph Wesley “Dogg” Collins, 63, was born in Berlin, MD on March 21, 1957 to the late Martha Ann (Collins) Triplett and James Spence Sr. He peacefully departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Harrison House in Georgetown, DE.
Rudolph attended the public schools of Worcester County, MD, and graduated with the class of 1975 at Stephen Decatur High School. After high school, Rudolph worked at various poultry plants like Showell Farms, Mountaire of Selbyville, and Kelly Foods. He was employed as a cook at Kentucky Fried Chicken before his health started to fail.
Rudolph loved playing Spades and “talking trash”. He also enjoyed spending time with his cousin, Dot and her children. Rudolph was well known for his “infamous dog bark.” When you heard that bark, you knew it was him!
Rudolph leaves to mourn, a special friend: Ella Mae Wilkerson; three sisters: Jeannette Nock of Lincoln, DE, Terri Purnell-Riley of Sterling Heights, MI, and Linda Armistead; five brothers: James Spence Jr of Berlin, MD, Gary Hudson of DE, Frank Triplett, Albert Triplett, and Delron Triplett, all of Wilmington, DE; a grandson in love: Jayron Wilkerson; two uncles: Matt (Pam) Kee of Berlin, MD, Clifford Kee of Newark, NJ, and John (Virginia) Foreman of Berlin, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rudolph is preceded in death by his parents: Martha Ann (Collins) Triplett and James Spence Sr.; and two sisters: Joyce Ann Spence and Dolores Marie Whaley.
