Wayne Lee Collins, age 59, peacefully departed this earthly life journey, on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, in Salisbury, Maryland. Born on August 31, 1960 in Berlin, Maryland, he was the son of George Perdue and Dorothy (Collins) Wright. Since birth, Wayne was lovingly raised by his stepfather, Sylvester A. Briddell.
He graduated from Wicomico Senior High School in 1979. Subsequently, he enlisted in the United States Armed Forces in 1979 and was honorably discharged in 1982. He re-enlisted in 1983, receiving an honorable discharged in 1986. Wayne served as a tank operator during both tours.
Wayne was a professional carpenter and was employed for many years with Leon Foreman Carpet Services, in Berlin Maryland. He was also employed by Salisbury Nursing Home for several years.
He was a warm, friendly, and easygoing man, who loved his family, friends, and community. Wayne enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting wild games, wrestling, and watching westerns on television.
Wayne leaves to cherish loving memories, his stepparents: Sylvester (Patricia) Briddell; mother: Dorothy Wright; sisters: Tanya (Brian) Smith, and Antoinette Briddell, all of Salisbury, Maryland, Lavessa (Charles) Roach of Seaford, Delaware, Yolanda Perdue of Pensacola, Florida, Lisa Perdue of Berlin, Maryland, and a brother: Tony Perdue of Newark, Maryland; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended relatives and friends.
His father: George Perdue; sister: Sylvia Briddell Terrance, and niece: Hope Terrance, all preceded him in death.
