Wilbert Foreman Obituary

Wilbert Lee Foreman, 68, peacefully transitioned from his earthly journey on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his Berlin,   Maryland home, where he was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on March 12, 1952 in Whaleyville, Maryland, he was the son of Virginia Foreman and the late Arlester (Boot) Barrow.

He was educated in the schools of Worcester County Maryland and joined the Job Corps in Harper Ferry, West Virginia. Wilbert enlisted in the United States Army in the 70's, and because of an illness he was released from duty with an    honorable discharge.

Wilbert retired from Worcester County Water and Waste Management in 2014. At the time of death, he worked for the Town of Ocean City, driving the garbage truck until his health prevented his ability to work.

He enjoyed old school music and Gospel. His favorite Hymn was Lord I want to Live for Thee. In his earlier years,    Wilbert attended Williams A.M.E Church in Newark, Maryland, and Greater Higher Hope Temple in Salisbury Maryland, where he was an usher.

He was married to his High School sweetheart, Inez (Blake) Foreman, on June 15, 1974. From their union, the couple had two daughters, Latina (Tee) and Kashara (Kasi) Foreman. He was a loving and dedicated family man who treasured the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other relatives.

Wilbert enjoyed fishing with his friends, Russel Parker, Harley Pierce and best of all the late Richard Parker and the late Charles (Pudgy) Purnell. I can imagine them fishing now. Richard and Wilbert had this argument going about who was player number 31. (neither one was) but Richard bought him a clock that said Player #1 to prove his point. That was their joke of brotherly love between them. Wilbert also was a true hunter. He hunted deers and rabbits, and he never missed a season. Travis Donoway was one of his true hunting friends to the end. They never got tired of hunting and talking about deers and guns. Rob and Al will miss you rabbit hunting with them.

Wilbert leaves to cherish loving memories with his wife of 46 years: Inez (Blake) Foreman of Berlin MD; two       daughters: Latina (Tee) Foreman and Kashara (Kasi) Foreman, both of Berlin MD; grand-daughter: Danasia Wright, stationed in Germany; seven grandsons: Isaiah Foreman of Ocean City, MD, Jaheim Lankford, Jarius Foreman, Allen Williams, Lymier Leonard, Adrian Foreman and Jamarr Smith, all of Berlin MD; his beloved mother: Virginia Foreman of Berlin, MD; sister: Elsie (Floyd) Purnell, brother: Henry Foreman of Berlin, Maryland; two sisters- in-law: Iretha Blake of Stockton, MD, and Rita (Marshall)  Todman of Princess Anne MD; two brothers in- law: Harry (Eva) Marshall of Santa Ana, CA, Arnold (Lisa ) Blake of Aurora, CO; one goddaughter: Valerie (Purnell) Corbin of Newark, MD; three godsons: Anthony Whaley of Chicago, IL, Jeron Whaley of Berlin, MD and Pastor Jarrell Whaley of Salisbury MD; a host of aunts whom he dearly loved: Gladys Hargis of Salisbury MD, who calls him Cook and was our Prom Chauffeur, Iona Foreman of Berlin, MD, Naomi (Willis) Ellison of Salisbury, MD, Mildred Foreman of Berlin MD; other extended relatives and friends.
