Salisbury – Annie Marie Miller, 95 died Monday, January 9, 2017 at Anchorage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury.
Born in Princess Anne, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Moriah (Johnson) Cottman. Her late husband Gustavus Miller died December 2010.
She was formerly employed as the head cook for the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Princess Anne and as a housekeeper for Lee & Helen Porter.
She was a longtime member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob where she was an Elderess and member of the Salisbury Spiritual Tones choir.
Her survivors include 4 goddaughters whom she reared as her own: Henrietta Cottman Cook, Mildred Whitney, Dawn (Bunyan) Leatherbury Mills and Bertina Jones; two grandsons: Nigal and Jalen Mills; a devoted nephew and caregiver: Franklin (Priscilla) Jones, all of Salisbury and a host of nieces and other nephews.
Besides her husband, two children: Helen Rhodes and Melvin Olgesby; five siblings: Henry, Paul and William Cottman, Mary King and Edith Jones preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury, where friends may view, one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Israel Memorial Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD.
