Edna Elizabeth (Shockley) Everett

Pittsville – Edna Elizabeth (Honey) Everett, 79 of Pittsville, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at PRMC in Salisbury.

Born in Snow Hill, she was the daughter of the late Elder Clifton Shockley, Sr. and Mildred (Duffy) Shockley.

She was a 1964 graduate of the former Salisbury High School where she was a scholar athlete.

She was formerly employed with the former Powellville Garment Company and retired in 2015 after more than 10 years from Uniforms Unlimited in Salisbury.

She was a faithful member of Friendship U.M. Church in Snow Hill where she served as usher, church secretary and treasurer.  She was also a member of the Salisbury High School Alumni Assoc.

Her survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Everett, Sr. of Pittsville; one son: John (Louise) Everett, Jr. of Salisbury, MD; two grandchildren: John (LaToya) Everett, III and Charity Shockley; three great grandchildren; four siblings: Lola, Clifton, Jr. and Ira (Darlene) Shockley and Doris Ann Parker; two very special friends: Martha Pitts and Betty Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.

A brother, Robert Shockley, Sr. preceded her in death in 2012.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Ebenezer U.M. Church, Collins Street, Snow Hill where friends may view two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in Friendship U.M. Church Cemetery, Snow Hill, MD.
