Darryl (Big “D”) Keith Dardello, 52 died Friday, December 8, 2017 at his home in Hagerstown, MD.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Jolly) Dardello.
He was a 1984 graduate of Parkside High School in Salisbury, where he excelled in track.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1989.
He attended the Holland School of Jewelers in Selma, Alabama. He earned both a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Jewelry. He also attended Howard Community College in Columbia, MD receiving certification in Information Technology (I.T.).
He owned and operated the former Last Pyramid Jewelry Store in Henderson, NC. He later became contracted as an I.T. Specialist with Universal Consulting Services of Frederick, MD.
He was a “father” with the Western Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
He is survived by his wife and son: Andrea D. and Bakari Dardello, both of Hagerstown, MD; five siblings: David (Millette) Ferguson of Mechanicsville, VA, Frances Ferguson of Baltimore, MD, Roslynn Ridley and Iris (Efrem) Foster, all of Salisbury, MD and Maurice (Deborah) Ferguson of Lakeland, FL; mother-in-law: Mattie Bell Duckworth; one brother-in-law: Kenya (Kay) Duckworth, all of West Point, MS; one sister-in-law: Dannette Shanklin of Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Two brothers: George Ferguson and Anthony Harris preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury, MD.
